How to Download Images and Videos from Gmail

Today, most people use email to send each other pictures and videos that they want to share. Saving pictures and videos from Gmail is incredibly easy. 

Saving an Attached Image

To save an attached image, follow these steps:

  • Open the email with the image that you want to save.
  • Place your cursor over the attachment to show the name, format, and download options of the image.
  • Click Download to save the picture to your default download folder.
  • Click Save to Drive to download the picture into your Google Drive.

Saving an Image From the Body of an Email

To save an image that is displayed within the body of an email, follow these steps:

  • Open the email with the image that you want to save.
  • Right-click the image and choose Save Image As.
  • Choose the destination location for the image.
  • Click Save to download the image to your hard drive.

Saving an Attached Video

To save an attached video, follow these steps:

  • Open the email that has the video you want to save.
  • Click the button that says Download beside the video file.
  • Click Save File and choose the destination you want.
  • Click Save.
